Default Has anyone used online fabric stores for apparel fabrics?

I am looking for tan fabric for khaki or chino pants. Store bought pants with a 5 inch zipper are a joke! I have two places that have fabric with-in 60 minutes, and they do not have anything that would be comfortable for casual pants. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Google fabric. There are a few stores that come up that have more that just quilting fabric. I think it is called twill fabric, not chino when on bolts. Maybe someone else will know for sure. Haven't sewn clothing in a while. I'm sure if you called the store, they could tell you.

Have you tried Land's End, for pants? They come with different rises and different fits.

Hobby Lobby has a pretty decent selection of fabrics, so you may want to check there, if you haven't already.

Thousands of bolts has apparel fabric. I would use a good cotton poly blend or cotton/spandex. Nice to have some stretch by the end of the day. Jo Ann's also has apparel fabric and they identify their fabric by body area and / or use. You will want bottom weight. Dress weight would be too flimsy for everyday wear.
Also, there is fashion fabric club. They have ALL kinds of fabrics! I have ordered from them many times as they are quite reasonable. Be sure to read the full description! There are times i thought i was getting pure cotton, only to find out it was not, if I'd read all the way thru the description i would have known that!

Thanks for the replies. I forgot about Hobby Lobby, there is one about 30 miles away. I looked at one of the larger JoAnns and got some pant fabric, but it is kind of scratchy even though it is 100% cotton. Felt a lot nicer before it was washed! I will try thousand bolts, I had heard of it, but forgot the name. I sort of looked at Denver Fabrics and didn't find what I was looking for. I should go back.

fabric.com and denverfabrics.com both have quality fabrics for apparel, although Denver Fabrics has the best selection of the two. Maryjos.com also has a great selection and the prices are the best of all, but their search engine is harder to use to get the results you want. However, if you call, they are very helpful.
