Having Sewing Withdraw!
#12
Thanks for all the well-wishes. The latest news is they found lines downed by trees. Some neighbors have it but they're estimating Sunday for us. Still counting my blessings, though, because things could be so much worse!

We were without power for about 24 hours. Here is a hint I read about, I think it was on this site. Get some solar lights, bring them in of a night for free light and back out during the day to recharge.

Ours was out from Friday till the following Fri. at 1:40.10 when the ceiling fan started twirling. I opened the front door and hollered Halleluiah! The second day, I told myself that now is the time to try treadling on one I bought several years ago, had replaced the belt, but never got around to seeing if I could still treadle after about 50 yrs. had gone by. In no time, I was doing it and I completed a PP Mariner's Compas Star. Our power was back for two days and then went again for about 27hrs. Get a treadle, no withdrawals.
