Mom and I were on our way to Walmart last night around Midnight (yeah, that's our usual time to go, we're both vampires). Driving along I see a little white kitten pop out into the street in front of me. I stopped the car and told mom to get the kitten. She got out and called it and it came right up to her. Well, anyone who lets such a little kitten run loose at night, deserves to lose it in my book, and it just LOVED all over us. She has this really loud, nonstip purr! She is filthy and covered with fleas and has a really snotty nose and congestion. We took her home and put her in a room away from the other cats. Today mom had a vet appointment for her oldest cat, so we took both of them in. Little kitty immediatley charmed everyone. Didn't even stop purring when they took her temp. So she got a couple of shots, some antibiotics, and will stay in "quarantine" till she's well and has had her vaccines.

At the same visit, we had to send the old man to the Rainbow Bridge. He had developed diabetes and was in bad shape. It is never easy, but it's almost as if she were sent to console us. Which is why our official family motto is "God is Great, God is Good. God knows the SUCKERS in the neighborhood". Just call us the "Lollipops".

Here are some pix of mom holding the new baby.

Your new baby is so sweet and I am glad you found her before she became wild.

Yeah, we'll all miss the old guy. We think he was a Ragdoll. He was another "find" when he was just a baby. His name was Stash, for Moustache, cause he had a black face but a white moustache! It was really cute. But he had started to suffer and hide, and it was time. I guess our furbabies are so short lived because their love is so pure.

Sorry for you loss, but welcome to your Mom's new little friend. Aren't you suppose to be sleeping at midnite? Your Mom must be quite a lady to gallivant at that hour!

Well, we are both night owls. I work nights, and keep the same schedule when I'm off. You can ALWAYS call me at 2:00 a.m. but don't EVER call me at 2:00 p.m. 'cause I'll be asleep. Mom is a night owl too, and usually doesn't go to bed till 1 or 2 in the morning. We usually make our Wally World runs after the news.

What a cute little baby!
I'm sorry about your old man. I know it breaks your heart, but that little one you have now was sent for a reason.

And what's wrong with going to Walmart at that hour? That's when I always went! No crowds...shelves stocked and would get the BEST cutter for fabric! :)

Awww....I'm sorry! All the Walmarts in Hawaii still do, as far as I know. :)
Will be making a trip in there shortly, I hope!

So glad you found her and are taking such good care, which is something she probably hasn't had before. I'm so sorry for having to put the old man down, it's always so hard when we have to put one of our babies down. We want them to stay as long as possible, but if they're suffering, it's not fair to them to let them suffer. As far as I'm concerned, the people who dump animals, should be shot.
