News for MILITARY FAMILIES sending Christmas packages overseas to FPO/APO addresses. In order for packages to arrive in time for Christmas all packages must be postmarked no later than NOVEMBER 12th. It has to be a lonely time for our troops so we wan't to send them a little bit of home. Doesn't give us much time.

May God bless and protect our troops!

It does take awhile. I would mail ASAP to get it there in time. Better to be early than late!

Thank you for this post. I was just told that the sooner the better..and even if mailed by Nov. 12 no guarantee. My son is still waiting on a package I mailed over 30 days ago :(

Just got word tonight my son leave tomorrow or Sunday, and he does have an address to give us yet.

He did give a small list of items to send when we get an address, but nothing in the line of Christmas gifts. He has one of his early gifts with him and said he will take it under his arm if necessary, his new quilt, red, white and blue.

I understand. My DD's friend's dad mailed a package to her (at port in San Diego) and one to her brother in Afghanistan, guess which one got there first. (Afghanistan) crazy, the poor girl still hasn't received her package.

It's my pleasure everyone. My DD shared it with me so I wanted to be sure to pass it on to you.
