It's suppose to be in the low 100's today. Thank the dear Lord for air conditioning, lemon-aid, shorts and flip flops! It's going to be that high all week. I think we might plan a beach trip for the weekend!! Whoooo-hoo!

It is hot and muggy here in south Florida... my son lives in the mid-west and it is dry and over 100 degrees there... you know what this means... drought many places... cotton prices rising... go shopping and buy some quilting fabric... of course to save money before the prices go up... lol

You don't know what hot is until you live in Kansas.Since June we have had extremely hot weather and very dry. When you get up at 6am and it is already 85 you know it,s going to be ho. 109 yesterday. I just feel for the farmers. No grass and ponds are dry.Dear Lord give us some rain.

Yikes! That is hot!! We're hitting 90 today and for about 10 days or so. It gets humid too. But nothing like you describe. I remember summers in Iowa - yuk!

I moved my machine to the dining room table for now - its cooler in there :)

There's too much snow! Lol
==================================
Yes, I remember that snow. In the winter of about 1960, my exDH was stationed at K.I. Sawyer, and we got there in the middle of the winter, and even the planes weren't there yet. Snow everywhere, I had to put my two babies in a box on a wagon and drag them to the grocery store@!
They said they had different seasons there, Winter, Almost winter and Summer and that week they went swimming. And I honestly don't remember much except that snow.

Right now I think my daughters in Texas don't want to hear from me..I'm sitting here in my sweat shirt and jeans and heavy boots, with the front door and a back door open and screens locked to let in some fresh air.

I am so use to this hot humid weather but I like it alot more than I do the freezing cold.

Like the midwest we are expecting temps reaching 100 this week and heat index'es to 115.

I came out of WalMart earlier tonight and when I walked onto the parking lot the heat was balmy. I could see the haze.
