Just call home on your cell phone and have your spouse hit the unlock on the remote, and your car will unlock. I have tried it and it works![/quote]

Sometimes it doesn't work, sometimes it does. My brother tried it with his car and it didn't work, even though his wife had the same keys. Other friends say it does work for them, you should try it to make sure, just in case.

Oh man my husband ex police always thought he was crazy to manually lock the car. I have locked one too many kids and keys so I guess to protect me and my car I will now manually lock the car. thank you for posting!

I will say that our key fob has opened other car doors. So it is possible.

My car can't be locked manually unless I stick the key in the door. Can't just push the lock down & slam the door shut, as it's a safty feature to prevent you from locking keys/kids in car. My last car was the same....had to stick the key in the door. It's getting to the point there are more dishonest people in the world than honest.
