2 Days! (Long winded!) Wednesday evening my husband came home from work and stopped at the gas station. He noticed we had a flat. So he put some air in it and came home. He checked the trunk to see if we had any fix-a-flat. It was frozen. We have an air compressor in the house so he thought we will just fill it in the morning and get to the gas station for some more fix-a-flat. (Before I had to go to work). Next morning... Got up and got ready for work. Went outside an hour before I was supose to be at work. Compressor wouldn't blow up the tire. Luckily a neighbor was out warming his car up for work. He said, "I have a great pump that will blow that right up" and reached in his car and pulled out a bicycle tire pump. We gladly accepted and started to pump away. Fast forward 10 minutes....We have enough air to get us to the gas station  We went inside and bought a can of tire inflator. Yeah, it goes in and were up and running. Hurry up and drive around so it will coat the inside of the tire. We decide to hit another gas station to top off the tire. As I'm on the phone with work the driver's side window falls off the track. My husband and I look at each other and laugh. (Hey, what else ya gonna do!) So we head back to the house to get some prices on tires. Go back out and it's flat. OK. Time to put the donut on. Pull all the junk out of the truck to get to the tire (Have I forgotten to mention were in the middle of Lake effects Storm - roughly 10-12" snow falling over 2 days) Get the jack under the car and its not working right! Lovely! I procede to the front office to see if anyone has a jack. The lady said she would ask maintenance if they had one and call me back. Several hours later I go back to the office. As I'm talking to her another neighbor hears and he has a 2 ton jack! WooHoo!! So we finally got the donut on! Yeah!!! So, we figure it's late we will get up early and get hubby's check from work and go get a new tire. Next day.... Donut tire is flat! ok, time to transfer the battery from the car to the truck and pray it will start. Yeah! truck starts! NOOOOOO, belt shreds! (R you kidding me!) Battery back to car. Hubby walks to the gas station for 2 cans of tire inflator! (still snowing) He calls a co-worker to see if he has a spare tire. He does! Ok, now we have a tire on the car, time to go to work and get check. Got his check and went to the Bank. Deposit Check. Head to Wal-Mart. Car in their shop, we shop for groceries. Pay for groceries up front. Head to back to pay for tire. Card Denied! Bank has changed there policy and had decided to hold check for 24 hours (Even though hubby has been with this company for over 3 years!) Hubby calls the bank to see what was going on, Poor guy behind the counter didn't know what to do. Fortunately, I had the check book on me and it accepted it.
Can I get a redo for the last 2 days!
