Congratulations! DH and myself have been together for 19 and married for 10 but friends for 32. His first, my second. I was divorced for 29 before remarrying.

Congrats! DH and I are working on 31 years. And we never had a fight - believe that and I have a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you!

Happy anniversary. My DH and I will celebrate our 18th on New Year's Eve after knowing each other for 3 months . I was 39 and he was 59 at the time we said our Do's in a hot air balloon. We have no regrets and have held each other up when the going was rough. As my mother said to me age is only a number.lol

At work the other day a young gal asked me if you have to work very hard at being married. She just lives with somebody and when it's over she moves on. I wonder what that generation is going to have when they get older? I told her marriage is not just based on love. It is also based on commitment to staying married. Some times the love part gets tough and the commitment has to hold things together until the love kicks back in... LOL I told her girls want a relationship and will do sex to get the relationship. Guys just want sex and will take a stab at relationship to get the sex. If there is no commitment things blow apart pretty fast. Love can last a life time... lust 2 years max.
