Default How much is too much....

for an Antique Treadle sewing machine, Singer, with all attachments, needles, bobbing, in mint condition? My husband found one at the flea market for $100.00. It has everything with it and he said it works, the guy is a friend of my dad and he showed my hubby that it does work... so is that too much to pay?

thanks for your help!!

I would say that its not to much, with all that comes with it and if its in good condition and if that is what you want and will use it....my sister got a good deal for $60, but had to buy a new belt.

too much is relative---some people would pay 5 times that amount- some would only pay half that amount-
the value is personal- how much would YOU be willing to pay?
you could browse ebay and craigslist- call around local shops and see what comparable machines are going for-
i think you will find a vast range of prices- it's only too much if you do not want to pay that much.
i have set myself a 'budget' and when i find the machine within my budget price i will get it- until then i will look...it all depends on what it's worth to you.

Sounds like a good price. I had seen one in that condition with all the attachments 2 years ago and it was $100 then.

I bought mine with all attachments - need a belt still- for $25.00. If it's in great shape..go for it!

Thanks Ladies for the help. I told my husband that I would like a sewing machine for Christmas and he has been searching for one for me. I have one but it doesnt work well... there is something wrong with the bobbin case and the feeder plate... It wont let the fabric feed through and the bobbin thread knots up on the back side and causes the feeder plate to "eat" the fabric. I wish I could get it working since it was my grandmothers machine. thanks for the help.
