Thanks god for our generator. The weather took a noticeable change about 3:00 this afternoon. We lost power at 7:15. The Chesapeake Bay bridge, Severn River bridge, and Naval Academy bridge have been closed. About an hour ago we heard a large crack. We're sure it was a tree but can't see where it has fallen. The worst is yet to come in the next few hours, so we will be grabbing the cat and moving to the basement. Please keep us in your prayers.

Thanks,

Thinking of you! We are outside the worst here, it's just raining and our power has only been out for about a minute...so far. Hopefully that will hold.

Keep safe!

We're in the basement, too. Hope that we don't lose electric. Tornado warnings seem to have ended for now. Irene is still about 170 miles away. We have a generator, but I hope we don't need it.
