A few years back I found a tool at a very old sewing store. It is like a needle, but measures about 5 to 6 inches and is thicker than a needle. It has a very large eye and instead of a sharp tip it has a ball, about twice the size of the needle. I am using mine at school and can not take a picture right now, but will post one later if no one knows what I am talking about. Does anyone know where can I find it?

Forgot to say, I found a great use for it while working in the reconstruction lab and many of my class mates have been borrowing mine and want to get their own. Even the professor wants one.

I am not 100% sure, but it looks like something I would use to feed ribbon through a sleeve or something like that.

Is not a tube. Is like a huge needle with a ball at the tip, made of the same material needles are made.

I have a package of 2 of them. They are called bodkins. I use them for feeding elastic or cording through a tube or casing.

We are going somewhere here. Thanks a lot. Mine is not exactly like that, but very similar. Mine is longer and the tip is perfectly rounded, but I like what I see in this picture I found when I searched for bodkins. Do you know where I can get more of these?
