Default I Bled On White

Apparently I pricked my palm with a pin and didn't realize it...of course I was working with white ...solid white...and when I noticed the blood on the fabric I freaked. My husband came running (now I know how to get his attention lol) and ran the cold water for me and then raced to the laundry room for the Shout which did a great job of removing the blood. Whew! I'm rushing to finish the quilt so I can give it to my brother and his family for Thanksgiving. Two of the borders are on. Hopefully this will be the last of the blood!

Hi there, did you know that Hydrogen Peroxide will take out blood instantly? Try that some time. Hope this helps next time.

I found that if you chew a little wad of thread and then dab the blood with the spit/thread it will take it out too. Comes in handy when you stab yourself while hand quilting. It's good to hear that Shout and peroxide work too. Who knew quilting was such a dangerous hobby?

I dont think I've ever made a quilt with no blood on it somewhere. I keep a large bottle of peroxide in the house at all times. And bandages in the sewing room.

Use your own spit, that will take out the blood.

I have always heard that if you bleed on fabric to rub it out with a bit of your saliva. the enzymes are supposed to take it out

Right on! Your own saliva will take out your own blood stain. It will not wok on someone else's blood. We are all different.
