  I was cleaning today and I raised my dust rag , it hit the match to this vase and it fell over onto this one...breaking a big hole in it. These belonged to my grandmother and I loved them!!! I'm soooo mad at myself! I looked at super glue..it says it won't work on glass...Gorilla glue doesn't dry clear...any suggestions other than learn to live with just one???? When am I gonna quit destroying all my heirlooms??? (She shoulda left me quilts...I couldn't break those  )

Try calling a reputable antiques dealer, there HAS to be a way to save such a lovely piece. Check with your local museum.

There are glues made for glass. If you use the vases use the right glue, if they are for decorative use, Elmer's Glue All will dry clear and will hold just fine.

Check with local museums and see who they use. That old glass is very thin and brittle.

Proves my theory - too much housework is not good for you.

Thanks! I hadn't thought about a jewelers or museum to ask who they use. I'll try to look at those glues ya'll mentioned too. I feel like such a dork....I am sooo sad about it, but maybe, just maybe I can get one of these solutions to work...thanks!
