I did it!! I shortened my granddaughter’s prom dress and adjusted the straps. I’m a quilter not a seamstress but because I own a sewing machine and because my daughter doesn’t know one end of a needle from the other granddaughter drove over 200 miles to let me look at the dress and see what I thought. My nerves are shot, I’m exhausted but I did it and it turned out well. She is beautiful and the dress is beautiful, we’ll be going to her grad so I’ll get to see her wear it with her hair and nails all done. I’m so proud of myself! I think I’ll have a bubble bath and work out the kinks from sitting at the machine all day.
