I hit the jackpot! Well, sorta.

I responded to an ad on Craigslist and last night I bought two Singer sewing chairs for $50! For the pair - not each! Although the photo doesn't show it, yes, the seats come up to reveal the storage area underneath. One is for me and the other is for my wife, even though she uses a Bernina.

That's what that was! My grandmother had one of those chairs and I used to be fascinated with the space underneath. Never had sewing stuff in in or at least if it did my childhood eyes thought it was just stuff. Thanks for posting a photo.
