I have finally finished all my phlebotomy classes. I have been in school for 2 and half years. I started off taking medical billing and coding classes but found it mind numbingly boring. So I decide that phlebotomy was for me and I just got my results back and I passed everything all I have left to do is my clinicals and Iam ready for a job!!! not bad for a 49yr old, I finally know what I will do when I grow up. thanks for letting me share my good news.

My hubby is a lab tech and runs a phlebotomy business on the side going to people's homes and collecting their blood if they're too busy or too feeble to go to the collection clinic.

And two of our good friends have just retired from a phlebotomy clinic.

It is a good job and you'll meet many interesting characters!
Good luck in your job search!

Congratulations Carrie Jo! It does my heart good to hear this.

Too many times people feel that 'it's too late'. I have always believed in going after what you want.........if you have a dream, go for it!
