I had to share this...............Last night I was in chat and talking to Lynnie she said she is from Long Island. I was from Long Island. When I lived there I bought my fabric at a fabric store (not a LQS) the next town over from me. The store was family owned which I liked better then big companies. I remember if there were 2 sales girls working I would wait for the girl with the great personality to help me. Most times the store was empty and we would talk for awhile about quilting etc. There was also a remant box behind the counter she would let me go through it before it was priced and put out for sale. I was able to buy the cream of the crop in remants for that day. Sales people weren't suppose to hold fabric for customers however if I bought something and wanted more if I called she would hold it for me. I was in a wheelchair at the time and she knew I couldn't get there ASAP but she knew I would be back for the fabric. Lynnie was that sales person.  I can't believe that 10 years later we met again on this forum.
