I would love to find some free fabric, but never have that kind of luck. I see a lot of the quilters here who find great deals at Goodwill so I've checked that several times and no luck there either. I'm amazed that you had so much trouble.

Got a big chuckle while reading my email a few moments ago. Seems this thread galvinized someone to post to the NorthSac_CA Freecycle about being a willing recipient for unwanted fabric. It made me smile to know this really is a small world! Hi Bobby - if you're still following this thread.

I love scraps. You rarely see that type thing on CL around here. Don't worry about finding someone to take them. I'll take the next round and pay the postage. I know several ladies who make donation quilts. One is working on 18 for a children's home and I know she would love to have some of them.

I have listed many things on Craig's list and have always been able to get rid of the stuff from plants to paint. Sometimes you get a no show but for the most part, they come. I usually set it at my front door and let them know where it will be so that I don't have to let them in or worry about having my husband home when they pick up.

Because of where I live people would never find me. People that live in the same city get lost. Thank you for your help. I have had several people respond and I am now in the process of sorting my fabric for the different quilters
