Default I love my Mom! Just gotta say...

I was feeling guilty, and almost posted that on here. After Church, I felt like I should call my Mom, but instead I fell asleep. She, at 80, is very healthy and vibrant, so is my Dad, also 80, but they have been taking care of my very needy sister while she recovers from knee surgery. I thought I should be helping them out this week more. I work 50-60 hours per week, plus being a single Mom and homeschooling...I just ran out of energy and time. So anyway, she called me, and we chatted, and reminded each other that if we really need each other, we'll call...and we WILL! I'm just so blessed to have an awesome family! But quilting has taken a back seat for now!

It's wonderful the way how you feel about your mother. She's blessed too, that she has you as her daughter. You may not have all the time in the world to talk, but to tell each other, "I love you," doesn't take all that long.

Mine is very special to me as well. When I got home from work the other day, here's a little package from my Mom. I opened it and inside is the cutest little "ditty" bag she called it. About 5 x 6. The bottom part was made with Valentine fabric, and then there was a band of colorful fabric across the top. It kind of snapped open and closed. The closure was made with pieces of tape measure. There was a really nice card too. Those are the special moments in life. The ones you don't expect. Just made my day that she made me something so special.
