Default I need a baby for a king cake

You who live near Louisiana know what I mean. I'm trying to get my square dance club to celebrate Mardi Gras, so I will be making a king cake. I need a baby to put into it. I know that king cakes are in honor of the Magi, but the baby has nothing to do with Baby Jesus. They used to use a bean or a pecan, but they could be too easily missed. So they decided to use the little plastic baby because it was so cute. The one who gets the baby has to have the next Mardi Gras party.
We won't be having another party but the finder of the baby will get a prize. Probably free passes to the next square dance.
I looked everywhere on line and got recipes for king cake and places to buy lots of decorations, but no babies. Can anyone tell me where to find one?

Look in the Wilton cake decorating areas of wal-mart, hobbie lobbie, michaels and joann's.

Oh my! Babies all over the place. By the gross! I had to buy a dozen but that wasn't so bad; they were cheap. We'll have to have a Marti Gras party every year now, won't we. Thanks to all who tried to help.

Could you check with a local bakery? They may be able to spare one

Thanks, but I don't think local bakeries in Wisconsin make king cakes.

If you put a plastic baby in the cake batter, will it melt when you bake it? Or do you cut a hole in the cake and then cover it with icing?

I explained a little in my original post. At Mardi Gras, which is the time period between the 12th day of Christmas (January 6) to the day before Ash Wednesday, there is a lot of celebrating going on in New Orleans. There are parades almost every day, and some days more than one. You can get a booklet in which the parades are listed, the days they will be held, the time and the route. The closer you get to Fat Tuesday (the day before Ash Wednesday), the more and longer are the parades. People on the parade wagons toss beads and other trinkets to the bystanders.
Later in the day, there are parties. It can get pretty wild. I don't know who starts it, but there is always a king cake at the party. It is basically a sweet roll dough formed in a large circle on a cookie sheet. I found lots of recipes for that on the net. The baby can be baked in the cake or can be inserted from the bottom after it is baked. The cake is then served, and the one who finds the baby in their piece is the one to host the next Mardi Gras party.
They used to use a bean or a pecan but found that sometimes they were eaten and not noticed. No one is going to eat that plastic baby.
Mardi Gras ends Tuesday at midnight. The next day everyone goes to confession.

I make king cakes every year...and woke up last week thinking about king cake!
One year I put a tiny ceramic monkey charm in place of the bean or baby. Not a good idea. One of my friends chomped on it (no serious consequences thankfully) and it was more of a surprise than it should have been. I knew where in the cake it was and was going to oversee its serving, except my friend helped himself!
