    I am a new user and can't figure out some of the acronyms used here. I know BOM, LQS and that's about it. When I do an e-mail I still write it like I was taught at work, no shortcuts. Thanks.

    get aquainted with our search feature at the top of the page, you can usually find almost anything on here with it :thumbup: if not somebody will find it for you ;)

    I sometimes have to stop and figure them out too. I agree about just writing it out, and sometimes I do. I think it is faster to type without the acronyms, but then I type pretty fast.

    Like Kathy said, just click on 'search' on top of page and then put 'acronyms' in the box. You will get lots of help. :-)

    DSM = domestic sewing machine
    SID = stitch in the ditch
    PITA = pain in the a**
    LA or LAQ = long arm quilter
