My DH had knee surgery on tuesday. He's confined to the house. Normally he's out in the garage "tinkering". The poor thing is bored to death. Any ideas on how to relieve his boredom? Thanks for any input.

Hi,

does he like to put puzzels together, word search, read??

heck, he can give you $ to go shopping for fabric and get you out of the house so he can rest, rofl

tell your hubby to get well soon!

word searches, cards, games, computer games, I to like the money and the shopping idea! LOL.....help him out side so he can sit and soak up some sun. Just keep that leg covered so it doesn't dry out or burn.

What about wooden models, puzzles or a video game?

Or something he can tinker with at the table like rotary cutting you some strips. :P

The worst scenario -- a DH laid up, can't do their normal routine.....ARRRRRGH! Yeah, I'd leave and go shopping, too!

I was just in that position witha broken ankle. Reading, puzzles, word games, movies (I am not much of a TV watcher but the first few weeks I watched more than I ever have this past year). Set him up with things beside him to work on as he chooses. The computer also saved my butt.

My DH either sleeps or watches TV. That is it. He's also hard of hearing and keeps the tv blasting all the time. Drives me nuts! Unfortunetly he's disabled and it's really hard for him to get around, so therefore, he justs sits (mostly lays). Men....Can't live with 'em, and can't kill 'em!

show him how to make individual hexagon blocks for you, then to sew them together!!
Melinda, i feel for you. my hubby is 20 yrs older than me and the tv blares all day and night. he won't get hearing aids or use the ear phone thing we got, so i tend to live downstairs for now. just for my sanity!
