My neighbor girl who got diagnosed with AML in October, passed away this afternoon.

She was only 14 year old. Thankfully she made it thru the holidays and got to come home for Christmas. Her little sisters and brothers go to church with me...they all wrote "Dear God" letters this past Sunday that about broke my heart. All they wanted for was their sister to live and get better.

My avatar pic is the quilt that I made for her when she first went into the hospital.

I'm so sorry to hear that. It's always sad when anyone passes, but when a child does it's especially hard to deal with. My thoughts and prayers for her soul and for her family and friends.

They moved into our neighborhood about 2yrs ago. We started picking up her little brothers and sisters every Sunday on our church bus route. Holly came a few times too. We went and visited her at the hospital and have helped the family during this tough time. They are my special family that I adopted for the year. It is really tough to see the mom and the siblings have to go thru this.

I'm glad I was at home (day off) when I got the news.

I have lost two children, so I know how awful it is--please pass along a hug from me.....only God can keep you sane when you lose a child.
