    have not heard of taking calcium or magnesium for cramps - I have my husband on potassium for it. Or I feed him banana's (very high in P).

    Yes magnesium helps me but usually Vitamin D helps more than anything...get the dr to test for low vit d and they will give you high dose prescrip to take. That has helped me more than anything..

    It's most likely because your electrolytes were out of whack. Pickle juice has long been an emergency drink for runners suffering bad cramps or weakness after a hard run. It honestly does work (if you can stomach the idea of straight-up pickle juice).

    Please be careful when taking supplements. My father-in-law was taking potassium and almost died. His potassium levels were off the charts - the docs were amazed he hadn't had a heart attack.

    Decolorized Iodine on your toenails twice a day clears up nail fungus in 6 weeks. Just apply around the bottom of the nail bed. Regular iodine would work just as well, if you don't mind having iodine colored toenails.

    Ivory soap to help leg cramps? I still think that's psychosomatic, but if it doesn't cause any harm & seems to help - use it....

    I agree, I can't think of any scientific reason why this would work, but hey - it can't hurt!

    After bathing, rub in some good old Castor Oil. When I broke my ankle and had a cast up to my hips, I was horrified when the cast came off. My legs were so dry and no cream ever worked on them, and with the leg hairs long enough to pin curl, I did as one old guy said I met in the doctor's office. He said get the skin wet and warm, then rub in Castor Oil. It did work well, and sometimes I use it on my skin all over.

    I use a bar of Dove soap in my bed for leg cramps. Works for me. If we travel, I use whatever kind I can find and all seems to take care of them.

    i keep a bar of soap under my bottom sheet at the foot of the bed, it works.
