This is what it looks like in my back yard today.http://stichesandstrokes.blogspot.co...rm-update.html The bulk of the freezing rain is gone, only a bit of drizzle left & that's on its way out too. Just my luck, anohter storm is in the wings for the first of the week. Oh what fun--not!LOL

Been there done that.....That's why I live in Louisiana! Ice Storms are extremely rare. Looks like it's going to be a hard winter everywhere this year:)

That's what it looks like here. It started snowing lightly last night and I was hoping that the ice would miss us. Hubby said driving home from work was tricky with all the icy slush on the road.

We heard a horrible noise in the back of the house earlier. I thought something had exploded. Poor Lexi was laying on our bed next to her Papaw and came running to me, scared to death. The people who live behind us have a couple of trees that are dead and ready to fall. And today they did! A huge limb fell and just grazed the back of the house. DH got up and checked and thankfully, no damage to our home that we can see.

Just means we will need to get a chainsaw soon and saw up the limbs.

Well the only good thing about ice storms is that they're pretty---from inside and only if they aren't bad enough to cause power outages and breaking limbs. And if people stay in off the roads.
