Here is some food for thought.
One of our own, Darlene Loves Chocolate, found out she had a brain tumor. She went in for surgery around the 3rd. As yet, no one has heard from her.
SO... a bunch of us were thinking if something happens to us (hospital, accident, illness, etc), who do we know we could count on to let you all know here on the QB what is going on?
Please let more than one person know where to come and post and to let us know. Make sure they post here in the General Chit-chat section, they use your board name, and tell us who they are.
Wouldn't it be a shame if someone died and we never knew about it or they had an illness that incapacitated them, or any one of a million things? We aren't being nosy (ok, maybe an iota) but we care and want to know. Think about it.

I have a friend here on the board who has my DS's info...

I have wondered about this too, when I haven't seen a member on here for quite some time, and they don't answer PM's :(

You raise a valid point. I am eager to see some of the ideas that arise from this question.

There are several ladies on the board who would call here to check and my DH would tell them. ALthough I am not planning on going anywhere anytime soon, the lord willing. This is a good idea though. I actually have a little black journal that my DH will get should my time come. It has my Charities, QB, yahoo groups, and a lot of other numbers so people who need to know will.
And just in case this happens....Thank you all for being such a wonderful family. YOu shouldn't wait too late to tell someone you love them. DOn't be sad for me as I am wayyyyyyyy past what they gave me and have had a full and wonderful filled life. It's the ones we leave behind that feel the sadness. I want everyone on here to do a happy dance .

I am already planning ahead. Don'tbe surprised if you hear from me again. ROFL

What a good idea. I too haave a journal with passwords names etc.I had a little surgery last month and thought what if I couldn't complete swaps etc. I would like someone to notify the hostess and my partners. I never thought about it till then.I'm sure we will get a lot of good ideas from others.

It is so strange that you mentioned this. I was telling my husband a couple of nights ago about the woman that had surgery for a brain tumor and alot of folks were wondering about her, etc. I am new so I have not had the opportunity to chat with her but was still saddened that no one knew. Anyway..I told my husband to make sure and post something like a big "thank you" for me if something like that every happened. I've only been using the board for a short time and already look forward to seeing my usual "gang" members :D

Honestly I havent even thought of this. Maybe I should do a notebook like some of you have. I live alone with my sons but they dont know what groups I belong to or who to notify. Thank you for making me think about this.
