I'm trying to find a pattern for an all-in-one ladies shirt/mock vest.
I've googled and searched the pattern mfgrs but I must be using the incorrect words.
Does anyone know what I'm talking about and can tell me what they're called?

If you think that it's something that a mainstream pattern company would have (like Simplicity or McCalls) go to their websites and browse:

http://www.simplicity.com/
http://mccallpattern.mccall.com/
http://butterick.mccall.com/
http://voguepatterns.mccall.com/

They don't have that many patterns that you couldn't just look at each image rather than trying a keyword search.

Another thought - how good are you at altering patterns? If you had both a vest pattern and a shirt pattern, I think you would be able to get by with only making the vest front and then including it in the shoulder and side seams when finishing the shirt???

I did this several years ago...and just inserted the finished fronts of the vest into the shoulder and side seams of a blouse.

I basted it to the flat front of the blouse and then constructed it as the directions .

Try a Taylor Oats pattern. Some LQS carry them. I know she has a dress with a vest attached.

Are you talking about the shirt with two pockets at the bottom and it either snaps or buttom up the front? I would try simplicity or mccall patterns.
