I got an email from my brother yesterday and he said that his wife was getting into quilting. YEA!!!! When I spoke with her last night and told her to check out this board she said that she has been, she's a member, and that she's getting addicted. (Since I haven't seen any posts, I think she's still lurking LOL) It's so great to know that there's not only another quilter in the family but the best part is that she only lives about 6 blocks away and perhaps we'll be able to do some retreats or at least go fabric shopping together. The only bad thing is that she's still working and I'm retired. Oh well, there's always Saturdays. I definitely see some road trips in our future!

Oh that is delightful a "close" quilting buddy. Just around the corner, on the QBF and you all are family.

What a great way to start 2011!

I have 2 sisters that quilt but they are far away from me but near to each other!! I try to go every summer for a few days together to sew. Such fun to share a hobby with family members.:)

I definitely envy you. I have no one to do those things with. My friends all live in different states and don't even own sewing machines. And Most people in my area are at least 20 years older than me who sew and don't have small children and things of that sorts. So I am my own lone ranger..hehe.

How did you keep from running to her home as soon as you found out. I would have packed my stuff and headed out the door. How fun for you! I'm jealous now!!
