I'm so very sorry it has taken me so long to send this thank you to everyone. I really really appreciated the cards, fat quarters, candy, thoughts, prayers and the walker bag has been a God-send. They brought much comfort and made me feel so loved. Thank you so very much!

So, much in my life has changed since my surgery. First I got an infection and had to go back to the hospital for a couple of days to get IV antiboitics. Then I was home 4 days and my husband became very ill. He was in the ICU for 10 days and then in a regular room for 4 more days and came home last Wen. Now in addition to the COPD and diabetes, he has congestive heart failure and an irregular heart rythum. The doctors talked about shocking his heart to see if they could get it back into a regular rythum but decided against it because they would need to put him out and they didn't think his lungs could handle it so they are trying to treat it with medication.

With all of this going on, he is not able to get around on his own. He is still very weak, in fact I had to get help to get him up last Thurs. So, he needs to use a Jazzy to get around. The doors and halls in our house weren't wide enough for the Jazzy so we had to move.

I rented a 1 bedroom apartment with a den (sewing room) in West Jordan on Wen. and we moved on Saturday. The good news is we are now 3 minutes from our daughter, 15 minutes from his doctors and hospital instead of 50 minutes!

The even better news is I am now close to several fabric stores and quilt stores and I still have my honey hubby.

Thank you again and I truly love each of you.

Hugs, Gail

Gail,
I have CHF and diabetes and lung damage. It is a long struggle, but it does get better. I will continue to pray for you and your DH.

I love living in apartments. Everything is so fresh and new, and no yard to cut! Enjoy your new space.

Hugs,
MJ

I guess the old expression, when it rains it pours, really applies here! I am glad you are better and hope your DH will get stronger soon. :D
