Sarah Palin's show last night on Alaska was fascinating. I found this site that's pretty cool. You put in your state, it shows a picture of your state on Alaska's picture -----to get perspective. BUT it also give some details that compare your state to Alaska ----example, how many lakes, etc.
Check it out - kinda fun!

I grew up in Alaska and enjoyed the show last night. It reminded me so much of the activities we spent our time doing when I was a kid - fishing, sightseeing, etc. I'll never tire of the beauty Alaska holds.

I lived on the Kenai peninsula for quite a while we had and eagles nest on the cliff we lived on and you could walk down to the Kenai river we had beluga and king salmon the size of a small adult! It was truely amazing to see bear and caraboo droppins in your yard! My mom would have killed us if she knew half the stuff we did growing up! It was amazing to watch the show made me homesick! I have cruised to Alaska twice and am ready to do it again!! I am secretly hoping a quilt retreat will take place on one some time soon!!
