I love it!! I have to admit I am becoming more confident in my creative side since I took up quilting 2 1/2 years ago. It is good for the soul.

Very true. You find out so much about yourself by trying out new things and working to learn all you can about them and see how far you can go. It brings so much joy to life.

Huh, interesting...I've never heard this quote but it REALLY rings true for me!

I've been playing with sketching faces - my DH pauses the TV and walks off and leaves it paused all the time, so rather than getting annoyed about it, I've been using it as an opportunity to practice my scribbling. I whip out a sketchbook and try to draw whoever is on the screen, which can be fun because the paused faces are often very silly. I'm really not good at it at all, but that's not the point. The point is for me to make marks and feel free to scribble around on something unimportant, without worrying about anybody judging the final product. And also to keep me from being too annoyed with my DH's habit. LOL

Sewnoma, My husband does the same thing! What's with this? ha. He will come in the den and if I'm on the computer, I guess he thinks I'm not watching the TV., will turn the station to what he wants to watch. I just say "thank you so much". But I wouldn't be without him, at all.
