I have one son with eczema so I have always bought the "free" kind of detergents, usually tide.

DH, the coupon king of America, bought the Arm & Hammer kind (probably free) and now younger son broke out everywhere his freshly laundered shirt touched.
so, what works for you?

I'm afraid maybe the products have changed. we don't use fabric softener or dryer sheets either--just dryer balls.

I used to use Arm & Hammer powdered. I needed the scent-free kind, and I was fine with it.

I switched to All, the scent, etc.-free kind, the liquid, while traveling and like that even better, because there's no airborne powder to bother me.

I don't know that my skin is all that sensitive to detergents, though, so I can't say how it works for eczema (sp?).

I use Tide with bleach..but many are allergic to that so would not recommend that for you.

First I have to say that I love the idea that your DH is the coupon KING! Mine is the SPENDING KING! I try to save while he blows it left and right but thinks it should ALL still be there when he wants to buy a big item!

We use TIDE but haven't ever had any trouble. Sorry that you all are going through this. I hope your DS feels better soon.

I use Arm & Hammer but their scent free type is getting harder to find around here. If I can't find it I get ERA Unscented, and if I can't find that I'll get Purex scent free. I have the ingredients to make my own liquid detergent (which will be scent and dye free), I just need to find the time to make it!

I use Tide; no problems. If I change we have problems. Tide is the one for us (smile).

Eczema runs in our family also. We use the Tide (no bleach) no scent and also with febreeze. We have had no problems.
