We just got the ipod Touch last week, so still learning my way but I play the free ones: Tic Tac, Word Search, Solitaire, Sodoku, Four Free, Hangman, Farm Story (I'm so hooked on this, my daughter got me into it, ooo add me, I can PM my name!!!). My daughter has the Impossible Test, Farm Story, Tap Tap Revenge, and a whole lot more!

I Words with Friends and you can play against friends, you just have to have their user name.

I have Angry Birds and I hear it's hilarious but I can't figure out what I'm supposed to be doing!

You pull the slingshopt back with your finger and let it fly and try to knock all the blocks down and kill the birds. But you just have to play with it cause sometimes they will go to far or not far enough, so you will have to move the slinghot up and down. Hope this makes sense...lol

I like the escape the room games a lot. I like fun fast games when I'm in line waiting. Jungle Crash is a good one. The free Lite versions lets you play the game and decide if you want to buy it or not. I always check the reviews on any app before I decide to try it.
