I know the feeling of wearing the skinny pants. I have a good pant set that I wore for a long time. My sister liked it, so gave it to her and she wore it for about 2 years and then gave it back to me. Have been wearing it, but tonight when I put it on to go out to dinner, it was loose. Boy did that feel good and it might be a shame that it has been such a good suit (paid a good penny for it, but obviously was worth every cent) and I might have to give it away. I'll miss it - it is purples, my favorite color. For dinner, had a grilled Mediterranean Chicken breast - grilled chicken with spinach over rice and broccoli as the veggie. Very good and filling.

I got another squishy package today from Jim's Gem.

Thank you for the extra.

As of today I have only recieved FQ's from 11 out of 25. If you haven't gotten yours in the mail. If there is a problem send me a private message.

Each and every one of us is a winner in some way. You all will lose, set small goals each month. And you too will be in skinny pants before you know it.

This has been a tough week diet wise. I've started a new schedule at work, from full time to 3 days a week. I'll be retiring in 5 or 6 months so am easing into it. Last weekend was my first 4 day weekend, which was wonderful but made it really hard to be 'good'. I must learn quickly how to deal with this new life style! On the bright side ...more time for sewing!

Soon, Shadowirish, you'll wonder how you had time to work. I did not quilt before retirement, but I did do a lot of apparel sewing. How did I do my daughters' weddings while working???

I've been eating well but not losing any weight. Tonight I didn't eat well. I took a GD to dinner at a fast food restaurant. I am starting over right now - not waiting for tomorrow. Today was a pretty tasty feast day.

The baby quilt for a shower in Missouri on Sunday went in the mail Wednesday without a picture because my camera was balky. Tonight a picture showed up on Facebook - the soon to be father opened the package as soon as it arrived. It was hard to choose fabrics when we don't know the gender - I do know her bedding is yellow ducks. I must have done okay, because my GD and GDIL love it. Some of the fabrics were leftovers from their wedding quilt in 2011.

I love your quilt, Irishrose. I'm sure it will get loved to death. I'm still working on my wallhanging. It has to be done in time for the baby shower on the 19th.
Way to go, Meanmom! I'm hoping to get into my skinny jeans in a few months.
My pregnant daughter wanted to go to Red Robin tonight. She and I shared a burger so that's only half as bad as it could have been.

Irish I love the baby quilt. Yes it is so hard when you don't know the gender of the baby. I like making a boy or girl one. I really want to make a girls one but everyone I am making for seems to be having boy ones. My DD is pregnant and has requested something kinda Charley Harper. I am thinking of copying his zoo babys poster. I am still working out the details in my mind. I usually have to work quilts out in my head first then draw it out on paper when I do my own designs.
I have been eating very well this week. Tons of fruits and veggies. My stomach is not used to eating so much of this and has been a little rumble this week. It always takes a few days for my body to adjust. I need to exercise more. My weight and bad knees would thank me.
I am doing the mystery train quilt and really want to finish last weeks clue, but I think I really need to get the CHristmas tree down first.
Healthy eating and exercise to all.
Pat

Irish......love your quilt. Sounds like the father to be was anxious to see what they got for the baby to wait for the baby shower. Don't you just love facebook when you forget to get a picture of something. I know that is how I get current pictures of my son and his wife down in Houston.

Mean.... I know what you mean about getting the clues done on the mystery train quilt and have other things that need to get done first.

Pam... that was a great plan sharing the burger with your daughter. These are some of the little things that make it a big help. I am going out for italian tonight. and my plan is to bring 1/2 of it home for another meal or share it with mom. We have a coupon for buy one get one free. My date never leaves any food and I am trying to help him see you dont have to clean your plate you can take it home. (yes he is the one i have been seeing for a while now.) we have a standing Saturday date every week (most weeks).

Shadow....... yes it does take alittle more planning when you spend more time at home. I know I had to stop and realize that when I was laid off from my job and it took me almost 6 months to find another job. I had to pay attention especially when I was getting depressed about not working. Enjoy your retirement

Well I need to go see if mom is almost ready to head out for some errands, want to get back before the cold front comes through. It was 73 yesterday and today right now is the high of the day at 63, dropping into the 30's.

Nothing succeeds like success! Losing that pound makes the next one easier.

Cindy did you get my PM apologizing for being late mailing? I sent for Jan and Feb.

I just checked the tracking number (I think tracking stops at the border) and it says it is in transit since Thursday and gives an expected delivery range of 3-9 days. I hope you get it sooner than later.

I will keep looking for Corals and wait to hear about the colours for April, May June.
