pete, i have an 'easy fitness' chair arobics tape, and it is really a good workout, if i go thru most of the tape. gets me going, when i have been off the excercise routine for a while. and i had it when i had the addition 60 lbs on me. think i will give it a try again. getting going for being bad, and lazy thru dec. thx for the reminder.
i have been busy, and never got my FQ's mailed in, but will be glad to mail them to the winner this month.

I went over to the Exercise room yesterday and spent about an hour between the treadmill, bike, weights and a balance ball. This morning I only had 20 minutes but that is better than nothing. We went to Cocoa Beach and hung out for a couple of hours. It was windy and chilly but so much nicer than home. No complaints from me!
i had a good day of eating healthy until my niece wanted to stop at steak and shake. Then we get home and mom has made a lemon meringue pie from lemons we picked yesterday. Just a small slice for me, please!
cindy, it will be fun to see a picture of the FQ's. for the February colors I sent one of my very favorite pieces of fabric. Now that is some incentive for me to be the winner!

Pretty fabrics. As you know, I haven't sent mine. I have to go to the store because I always wash fabrics as soon as they come into the house so my favorite neutral has been washed. It will be there before the first so you can send it on.

shadowirish, how exciting. Be sure to take your walking shoes. My son lived in NO for 5 years rebuilding the infrastructure after Katrina so he saw football games and Mardi Gras. When you see expressways and levees, thank D and his crews. D and thousands of others.

Walking was more pleasant today - up to 11 degrees. Did the Sit and be Fit, too. I guess that's my addition for the week. Eating was goofy this evening. I didn't have a real dinner so I did a lot of interval eating - less healthy than interval exercise. Plus, I am an emotional eater - we probably all are and I found having to visit a funeral home to be with a 40 year old dealing with the loss of her husband stressful. Darn snowmobiles. The daughters are 11 and 8.

I'm working on the mystery quilt when I should be cleaning a closet. The closet is stressful, too, as I really need to reduce the amount of clothing I have by at least 50%. I am the original "I might need it someday" person. I will never wear the dress pants with pleats in the front again so why are they hanging around. "I might need them someday." I haven't worked in three years so why keep 'the school clothes'?

Back to work. Maybe I will set a timer and work on the closet for 15 minutes first.

Wow, Mary (ShadowIrish), enjoy your trip to New Orleans. Wish I could go with you. New Orleans is my home, but it has changed soooo much since I moved away. You may have problems getting a hotel in the quarters (unless that was part of your package you won) You might need to see about some in the outlying parishes (Louisiana has parishes, not counties). Try (if you have to) for a hotel in Jefferson Parish and take a taxi to the dome. Outside of Orleans Parish, the public transportation is sparse. You will be there for some Mardi Gras parades, so check to see which are close by either your hotel or on a route you can get back to your hotel easy from. We gave up on going out at night because of the hassle, but nightlife in the Big Easy is different. There's a bar at the foot of Canal Street called the 360 (if it's still there). It's on the top of the building and rotates around so that you can see ALL of the city at some point from there. Can't tell you much more about it, but we sure enjoyed sipping our drinks as the room revolved. Get some beads, root for your favorite team and above all, enjoy the food! Have fun - and send me some pictures!

Kathleen, thanks for the info! We are excited and the package includes air fare from Seattle, hotel, spending $, NFL gift card and the sponsors will pick us up at NO airport and take us to hotel that is on Canal St about 2 blocks from Bourbon St.
Neither of us have been there before and we are looking forward to an adventure! They allowed us to extend the 5 day trip to 7 days, we only have to pay for the extra 2 hotel nights. I can hardly wait!

Shadow---sounds like so much fun. Enjoy your time there.

I finally got my but in gear and starting walking during lunch yesterday. I did 2 miles and will keep it going as long as I can. Yesterday after I ate my lunch, is when I walked and 2 hours later, my sugars dropped lower than they have been. I need to make sure I have what I need when it drops too low.

Well I wont win this month's pot of FQ's, I have but back on what I lost, thanks to the insulin. I wil take it back off......my motivation to get out and walk.

Have a wonderful day.

Shadow the trip sounds wonderful. Enjoy! It sounds like everyone is doing well with their eating. I came home from work sick today at 10:00. I have never done that before. It feels like someone is trying to rip my stomach in half. I tried eating some pretzels at school to settle it but it didn't help. I came home and ate some crackers and Tums and it is a little better. Hopefully I wil be better later. There are so many different sicknesses going around at school right now I can't keep track of them all. I will take a nap and hopefully will be better when I wake up.

Hope you feel better soon. I hate being sick.
