Between visits to the sewing hut we have had a lovely time this spring "just a swingin'" in our hammock swings. Last year, we set up this little area as a retreat of sorts. It is tucked in under a large, shady tree; we have strung decorative lights in the Crepe Myrtle next to the swings, and accessorized with hanging baskets and other yard items. Small tables are placed near the swings for snacks and soft drinks or tea. We also added a couple of the cutest retro 50's style metal chairs with a matching table. The perfect way to end a long day is to retreat to our "retreat" and lounge the day's cares away.

I have one just like that, that I picked up at a garage sale for $3 last year and I love it. Hung mine in a tree on the hillside where I can catch a good breeze, a great to take a snooze.

I wish we had a tree in our yard to hand a swing on!! That looks so relaxing.

Your retreat is my kind of relaxing. I enjoy working in my yard after supper. No one cares to help me, I have quite time.

Me too, Sherri! All of my trees close to the house are too small! Looks so relaxing!
