My keyboard is driving me batty!! I have to literally POUND the keys to make a letter appear! And it may take 4 or 5 tries at least. I think DGS (who is 22 mths) has helped it along. Took over 5 minutes to type this.

Pop a few of the keys off and look underneath! If it needs cleaning, do a few keys at a time....if not, you need a new keyboard! ;)

Tip the keyboard upside down to shake out any thing that might be in there, crumbs etc.

You can also use compressed air to blow out the crud that get under the keys.

My space bar is pretty much dead, too. I have to smack it pretty good or I get the nothing but strings of letters. It does get frustrating.

This is the best trick to try. Smack the keyboard while it is upside
down and you will be shocked at what falls out.

These dudes put theirs in the dishwasher! http://www.npr.org/templates/story/s...oryId=11029793 If it's on the way out, it might not hurt to try it!

Mine is like that too. I hate to buy a new one, but sometimes it drives me nuts!

I pop all my keyboard keys off, keep them in order, and clean. You'll be amazed at what's in there and how it'll act different when you put it back together again!

I've probably got enough food under my keys to feed a small family. Cleaning is in the near future.
