Wow, thank you so much for posting this, I wonder if my Croatian grandmother, who died before I was born, was a lace maker?

I admire their skills - My Grandmother did tatting and I just can't get the tensions right. I was taught by her to crochet the pillowcase edgings. I have all her crochet hooks and treasure them dearly.

Thank you for posting this - very interesting and inspiring! I had never seen anyone making lace and searched a bit further. It turns out that Youtube also has instructional videos for making bobbin lace, and probably any other craft a person might want to learn. It's amazing what's out there. Just at a time when there is reason to be concerned that some of the old crafts could be dying out, there is suddenly a worldwide community sharing skills and techniques, as well as purely inspiring and informative videos such as this.
