Oh Denise this must be so hard for you. Please don't take this as an opportunity I have taken to talk about myself, but I will just tell you what happened in my case.

I was the one that said I was leaving after almost 26 years. I had my reasons. Man it was hard, like they didn't really care and I did just what they wanted me to do without them having the trouble of laying me off.

Well I left, and did temp work for awhile and learned a lot about myself and the work. Then out of the blue someone that I had been acquainted with at the old job called me and said they had started their own business and asked if I would come help them catch up. I did, and it turned out to be full time. I never worked for a better company, or manager. Those people were the best, considerate, kind, and just good friends.

Bottom line I guess is, there is good that comes out of every bad thing. It may take time, and I don't mean to belittle your pain. Just trying to give you some hope.

Denise, So sorry about your job loss, keep yourself busy, maybe you have some ufo's you can finally get finished, it will take time to adjust to the new lifestyle, but you can get thru this, and hopefully things will be better soon.

Dear All,

Thanks for all the encouragment and wise words. It has helped alot. It means alot that you took the time to share.

I will be ok! This morning my husband said, "are you ready to start the next step of your life?" "I am", I said. I know it hasn't really sunk in yet but I'll be fine. I do have tons of things to do, I have many hobbies. As I finish projects I will post pics.

Thanks again for all your kind word and thoughts.
Take care all and
may happiness by with you always,
Denise

I'm looking for work also. Have been doing temp jobs for three years. Gets old fast. Do what you can. Come to the board and have fun quilting.
