Don't laugh, we used those things that were supposed to fit Twiggy on "real sized" women, children & even men. Can you imagine a man today wearing an apron with a suit & tie. My how fashion has changed. I love that I can wear red shoes with whatever I want to now. I even have my Mom's old red handbag that she used when she passed away. I might bring it out & refurbish it & see what a reaction I get.

I made most of my dau's clothes when she was small & even made my Ex a leisure suit out of white polyester. Go ahead laugh if you want to, but it looked sharp with his pink paisley shirt with the wide collar & stays, plus the elevator shoes men donned in the 60s/70s. Now it's hard to get boys/men to wear dress clothes. I'm glad to see young girls are wearing dresses again. I draw the line though when some very young, not over 9 or 10 girls showed up to perform in the Band Concert a week ago in strapless dresses that were almost see thru. Good thing they were Twiggy sized, but still. And parents wonder why young boys sneak around & look at Porn at a very young age. They don't have to imagine much the way the girls dress. Am I being too critical? Maybe showing my age, 62.

I just called my DS to come and see the boxers! I think he may be scarred for life. I should tell him that is what John Wayne and Clark Gabel wore, not that he would care, LOL

You "youngsters" are laughing but I remember having several of those patterns and have some still that would fit into this category. I agree with Sheila Elaine about the girls dresses today. Even grade school girls leave little to the imagination. What are their mothers thinking? Of course if you have shopped with or for a young girl today it is quite difficult to find something that is modest. They are either skin tight, too short and too low cut. I'm sure our elders were saying the same thing when we were going around in short shorts, mini skirts and halter tops. LOL

So sad, I have a couple of these patterns....... Great patterns, just outdated fabrics. (Am I dating myself?)

They really liked aprons 'back in the day' didn't they? I think I have a total of one apron that I never bother to wear!
