Default A little something to brighten your day :)

We have a nice crop of these sunflowers growing at the moment; DH planted a mix that was supposed to be turned into the soil as green manure, but I wanted to see the flowers. In the late afternoon sunshine they were positively glowing. Enjoy (I had better get out and do some gardening now, back later)

Flowers are pretty and so is the table runner that they are on.

I love sunflowers! I especially love the newer seeds that produce multiple stems of smaller blooms. Beautiful!

I am from Kansas. These are my states flower. I love to watch them follow the sun and in the evening "bow" Thier blooms as if to say good night and then in the morning they are so bright and looking east again in anticipation of following the sun again.

I'm originally from KS, too, so sunflowers have a special place in my heart, too!

I hate to sound really dumb but isn't it winter in New Zealand? How do you have sunflowers now? You're mighty lucky to have them!
