Just buy the series on dvd. No commercials to deal with. We rarely tape anything anymore. It's available on Netflix or Hulu instantly whenever we want to watch it. Check out Roku for steaming movies and tv shows on your tv cheap:

I am NOT going to make a remark about BellaBoo watching steaming movies!!!!
I just watched LD recently and I must say it took me a LONG time to get into it. The first few hours, I was like, what is the point of this? In the end it was OK, but still kind of long IMO.
