Default Is "longarm" or "long arm" correct?

Every time I write "longarm" my computer lets me know that I have spelled it wrong, the dictionary online has no "longarm" listed in it's depths...BUT all the companies that build LAs call them "longarms"! I'm confuggled and need to know...which is right - "longarm" or "long arm"???

That computer dictionary don't know "nuthin". When I run across a specific word that has been in use for a long time, I just add it to my dictionary!! So there, dumb computer!! LOL

I call myself a "longarm" quilter. I'm afraid if I used "long arm" quilter, people might think my hands hung down around my ankles!!

I don't understand why it needs to be defined. We can call them whatever we want.

Once you own a longarm, it doesn't matter how you'll write it. You'll just enjoy it!

Thank you all! I have always called it "longarm" - I've owned one for 4 years and it's my business!! When I used the online dictionary, it did not come up with anything. All the manufacturers of LAs call them longarm machines, so I'll just have to educate my spell-check dictionary!
