Wow! Looks delicious! Reminds me of when my mother and grandmother used to can pears from a tree in the yard.

I have a ton of pears and Arkansas black apples this season.. Im going to make apple butter, apple sauce, apple pie filling, pear pie filling later this week.. I ran out of lids.. :cry: otherwise I think i would of kept on canning..

Hey you pick em you can have em.. I can every other year.. and let friends & neighbors pick the years I don't harvest.. Its alotta work for a jar of jam..

I spent two days picking apples and pears..I was cussing like a trucker under my breath at hubby, since Hubby stated he was 'too busy' to help.. yea right.. he made himself scarce that big dummy..

I think that'll cost him a shopping trip to my LQS...
