I went to school with a girl named Barbara DeVore. She moved to KY for about a year and stayed w/her grandparents here in KY and went to Middle school for one year. I would really like to find her but don't know how to do that. She had lived in AZ as a kid. I remember her talking about Yuma but I'm not sure if that is where she lived or just a town close by. There are lots of people with this name. My friend would be in her 30's. I do have a picture but because of comments already made I won't post. I never thought it would be an issue but I wouldn't want to upset anyone so.....

yes, I've sent some messages to some people with this name but have only gotten 1 response back and it wasn't her. Thanks for suggesting though.

Did you try contacting her grandparents in KY?

There are only 3 phone numbers with that last name in Yuma. Did you try calling them - maybe it's her parents?

As an aside, I would be totally pissed off if someone posted my full name, age, hometown and a picture (regardless if it's from 20 years ago) on a some public board. Especially someone who I've had no contact with in over 20 years. And, yes, even if it's only a seemingly innocuous quilting board.
But that's just me.

I didn't think of it like that-I'm sorry. I have edited it so maybe its a little more vague. The city is just the area that she may be in......I goodled the name and there are tons of Barbara's with this last name. That's why I posted that. Have you ever googled your name? If you do you'll see your address is probably on there as well. It's all over. There are tons of people with my name, I saw my address on there as well. Sorry if this upset you. We were writing for years and then lost touch. I was a kid and didn't get her grandparents names. I was never allowed to go anywhere or have guests over as a kid so I don't know where her grandparents lived.

You didn't upset me since it wasn't my name. I just thought I'd mention it. I also refuse to have a Facebook or Twitter account. And, no, I'm not a Luddite by any means.

There are many sites easily available (and free) online to search for someone.

There is no one with that name AND age listed. There are two with that same name, one age 50 and the other age 60. Could mean she married very young without establishing herself/credit using her maiden name.

I would start with the 3 numbers for that last name in Yuma.

Thank you. I tried to change it-I really didn't ever think of it like that. I just always had such fun with her and just lost touch. As a kid computers were just not used at my house........Now that I am married and have kids I wonder about 2 of my friends. Barbara and Andrea. I haven't had any luck finding either of them. Andrea lived in Indiana and we wrote for years and lost touch. I guess I just wonder what has gone on in their lives and would just like to catch up with them. Thanks for your help.

another place you can look is linkedin. You have to join in order to view other members, but it's free. That's how I found one person. btw, there were about 5 or 6 Barbara DeVores there.
