I got a Halloween party to go to and I decided to go as Morgan Lander of Kittie. And I decided to go with the look she has on the new album (the picture can be found at myspace.com/officialkittie ...Morgan's the blond one) ---which just made life more difficult because she's wearing a leathery top (and a belt as well). I can't seem to find something that will work online. I'm supposed to be going to Hancock's (I'm also working on my God-son's costume), which is an hour away so its not like I can go check for leather whenever I feel like and I don't know if they'll have what I'm looking for once I get there.

Does anyone really know for sure if Hancock's carries some sort of black faux leather or pleather or something equally scaly leather looking that's not going to cost an arm and a leg? Or anyone have a yard or two of something similar that they might want to give away or sell?

I recently bought faux suede from Hancock's, and they seem to have all kinds of faux stuff. I'm guessing they would have the leathery material, but I have been known to be wrong...

Our Hancocks carries it in the upholstery/drapery section - you can generally get good-size remnants there since that sort of fabric usually comes 60" wide.

Both the Handcocks and Joann's closest to me had fake leather last week.

Yep, I was at Wal-Mart today and saw several "leathers".
