My granddaughter is in a musical on Monday. I just found out that she needs a duster hat, like the one Little Laura Ingals used to wear in Little House on the Prarie.

Do you know of an online tutorial or online pattern?

Isn't it just a big circle with an elastic casing about an inch or so from the edge to make the ruffle?

Oh, that is a possiblity. I never thought of that. I was thinking of the ones with the brim that goes around the face and a gathered piece in the back...

I was thinking of the hats they wear to bed. Don't know about a pattern for the other ones.

I was going to say it is called a bonnet. LOL. I grew up wearing one. Sure wish I had some of the ones my grandmothers wore for the memories. Sigh!
