The historic inn from my hometown of Groton MA burned beyond saving last night. I am a lover of historic buildings and find it terribly sad that this landmark building (circa 1678) the oldest continuous running inn in this country, is actually gone. Luckily no one was injured.

Oh no, that's awful to hear. I'm glad no one was injured but it's a great loss to history.

I, like you, love old historic buildings. This is sad indeed. Thankfully no one was hurt.
