Yep, I've noticed it. I have hearing loss and sometimes I can't hear what people are saying over the freaking music.

I thought it was because my ears were going bad! Glad to hear it annoys others also. Never thought about closed captioning!

It gives me headaches and hurts my bad ear. My DH is constantly turning it down for me and then back up so we can hear it when the music stops.

I also hate the loud commercials! The volume on commercials must be at least 4 times as loud as the volume of the shows.

Totally agree with you, I hate all that music that overrides the words. Sometimes I wonder what they are thinking by having the music so loud.

I hate it too and it seems to only get louder on commercials. I turn down the volume and use captioning or just go to another channel.

Oh, I thought it was just me! I have been telling my DH that the TV was just too loud!

My husband and I complain about the loud music constantly. Even tried to adjust the sound settings on the menu but to no avail. Even if the music is not loud, the actors talk so fast and mumble so that it is hard to follow the dialogue. Love the older shows that have very little background music.

Yes!!! The commercials is what drives me nuts. The companys pay more to have their commercials louder and that's why I dvr everything I want to watch so I can fast forward. Good thing I don't watch much tv.
