Did anyone have the same horrible storm yesterday??? My son called and said there were thousands of lightening strikes (estimated 6000) in the area and torrential downpours...
He had one hit his house and another his tree in the back yard, he said he was running into the house from his car and the one that hit his tree missed him by seconds.... It was raining hard enough it put out the fire in the tree immediately, but now he is having it checked out to make sure it won't fall over onto his house.
After reassuring me that he was alright...he fessed up to going out to the car in the middle of the storm to get his golf clubs out of the car...the storm may not have killed him....but I may!!!!!

I understand about the golf clubs. Hubby is a fanatic when it comes to golf, BUT...if it's storming out there, he says in the house. Ok,,,,it was storming last night for a bit here and where is he? Oh yea...in the middle of the ocean on a ship! lol
I think we need to send your son some cyber smacks!
But, I'm glad he's ok!

His priorities would not be mine!! Though I have stayed in my house during a hurricane evacuation because I could not take the dogs, cats and my parrots to a shelter! Hid when the police came to see if anyone was still here on the beach. I lucked out as the hurricane fizzled and did no damage here.
It did rain here all day and we got over two inches of it - neighbor's yard still flooded, but no lightening.
